Diving for McQueen on Nowness.com.

The New York Times fashion critic Cathy Horyn meets Alexander McQueen Creative Director Sarah Burton at the label’s Paris atelier to explore the house’s intricate, marine-inspired Spring/Summer 2012 collection, this was too beautiful not to share...hope you enjoy it as much as I did!

Paris Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2012 Pt 8 - Givenchy, Balenciaga, Jean Paul Gaultier and John Galliano

Apologies for going MIA for so long, last week there was a widespread blackout, which caused a problem in my fusebox when the power returned, which in turn, stuffed up my computer. But here I am to round up my last post on PFW, I now look forward to preparing the Spring/Summer 2012 Street Style posts to come, as well as an exciting giveaway (so watch this space)...

Givenchy

Simple, yet so beautiful and striking...

Balenciaga

Lots of volume and shape, which would make Cristobal Balenciaga proud, but reworked in a totally Nicolas Ghesquière way:

Jean Paul Gaultier

Signature Gaultier: various different trenches, pinstripe suiting worn with crisp, asymmetrical white shirts; and lingerie details and tattoo-print body stockings. I am loving all the pieces with a trench flavour (especially that languid cobalt blue trench shirt/coat dress, and grey sleeveless trench):

John Galliano

Bill Gaytten (who has been cutting patterns for John Galliano for a long time), stepped in to give his own touch to some trademark Galliano looks, resulting in a beautiful and wearable collection, the sheer floral print pieces were my favourite:
